Studio Policies + Procedures
General Policies:
All classes and private sessions are 50 minutes and start on time. Please arrive punctually to get the most out of your session.
A 6-minute grace period is allowed for late arrivals; after this, doors will be locked. Please do not knock on doors or windows if you are late.
Private sessions: If running late, notify your instructor. However, the session still ends at the scheduled time.
Group classes: No entry after the grace period, as early class segments are crucial for warm-up and injury prevention.
Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your scheduled session. Your instructors need time to reset the room, use the restroom, and be fully prepared for you.
Liability waiver and physician’s approval (if necessary) must be completed on My Best Studio (MBS) before attending your first session.
Injury & Physical Considerations:
Instructors always check in on your body at the start of class, but it is your responsibility to communicate any injuries, pain, or body concerns before class begins.
Instructors will assess whether modifications can be made or if an injury requires special support that may necessitate withholding you from class that day for safety reasons.
Booking & Cancellation:
Booking opens exactly one week in advance at the time of your anticipated class’s ending.
Example: If you want to book a 7:00 AM Thursday class, booking becomes available the previous Thursday at 8:00 AM (when the class ends).
Cancellations within 10 hours of class time will forfeit your class credit and incur a $15 late cancellation fee.
No-shows result in a forfeited class credit and a $20 no-show fee.
The waitlist is automatic and pulls clients into class until 2 hours before class start time.
If you can’t attend, it is your responsibility to remove yourself from the waitlist before being moved into class.
Online self-booking closes 2 hours before class. If you see an opening and have credits, call, text, or stop by to claim a spot.
Payments & Packages:
All sessions are subject to NYC Services Sales Tax (4.5%).
Payment must be made online via the website or app before your session. If you have payment issues, email fringepilatesbk@gmail.com.
No refunds. All sales are final. Packages must be used within the listed time frame—check before purchasing.
Unlimited packages auto-renew. To cancel, email fringepilatesbk@gmail.com at least 30 days before your next billing date.
Studio Etiquette & Safety:
If you feel unwell, please do not attend in-person sessions and let us know. When possible, please provide a doctor’s note.
Outside shoes must be removed in the waiting area.
Clients must wear grippy socks or go barefoot during sessions—slippery socks are not allowed.
You may record the beginning or end of your session if your instructor allows, but phone use should not disrupt class.
Fringe Pilates is an inclusive space. Bring love only.
Prenatal Policy:
Clients beyond their first trimester cannot attend regular group classes.
Private prenatal sessions are available with trained instructors.
For group prenatal classes, we can provide recommendations for nearby studios.
